And with premium 13-ply birch construction, angled nickel-plated steel edge reinforcement, pop-out casters and a cool perforated metal grille, this cab can take whatever you can dish out.

MH-412ST Straight Enclosure

One of two companion cabinets for the mind-numbingly speaker-wrenching beast that is the Metalhead Series  MH-500 amp, the straight-baffle MH-412ST has four 12" 100-watt Celestion® speakers that easily devour 400 watts of face-melting six-string fury (4 ohms total impedance). The caster cups on the top allow easy stacking of the companion MH-412SL slant-baffle cabinet.

And with premium 13-ply birch construction, angled nickel-plated steel edge reinforcement, pop-out casters and a cool perforated metal grille, this cab can take whatever you can dish out.

MH-500 Metalhead

True story: When Fender was first testing the mind-numbingly speaker-wrenching beast that is the Metalhead over at Fender HQ, car and building alarms near our R&D department started going off like gangbusters, thus quickly summoning a small fleet of squad cars! They had a little, um, explaining to do ...

One of the most powerful electric guitar amplification systems known to humankind, the Metalhead delivers a no-nonsense, full-on guitar assault. Three independent preamp channels deliver all modern heavy guitar sounds: a studio-pure "clean" channel with tons of headroom, a "tight drive" channel that covers the palette of vicious rock guitar tones, and a "loose drive" channel that combines copious distortion with high-headroom for uncontrolled power-amp rumble great for modern drop-tuned metal, punk and beyond.

The Metalhead uses reliable and maintenance-free all solid-state circuitry and a power amp descended from one of our professional bass amp platforms. We're talkin' 550 watts (into 2 ohms, with a pair of MH-412 cabinets) or 400 watts (into 4 ohms, with a single MH-412 cabinet), with forced-air fan cooling, 16 effects, professional speaker-emulated XLR line out with level control and ground lift, four-button footswitch, and display box containing 25 sets of foam earplugs (you're gonna need 'em!). Built to withstand heavy road use, the Metalhead has a simple, timeless look, with heavy-duty flight case hardware and chromed knobs and switches.

Companion 4x12 cabinets (MH-412SL and MH-412ST) feature extreme-duty 100-watt Celestion® speakers and matching flight case construction
