Gretsch "Country Gentleman" click here
Factory reissue of the original model used by George Harrison on the Ed Sullivan Show. Extremely rare black finish. This model has been nicknamed the Ed Sullivan model due to the fact that the show was filmed in black & white. George's guitar was actually dark brown. Most people assumed the guitar was black.
Most of George's early guitar work had very strong country & rockabilly overtones. The Country Gentleman was designed and named by Chet Atkins who along with Carl Perkins were George's favorite guitarists.

Factory reissue of the original model used by Eric Clapton which was given to him by his close friend George Harrison.
George used the original to record Day Tripper & several other notable Beatle songs before giving the guitar to Eric Clapton who used it 95% of the time during the late 60's, the "Cream" era.

Kramer "Frankenstrat"
Exact replica of Eddie Van Halen's Kramer used during the bands earlier years. Rumor has it the guitar was never really a Kramer but a Charvel with a Kramer headstock & logo due to contractual endorsement agreements with EVH & Kramer. Numerous guitars like this were built by Ed Roman because Kramer never actually offered the model with the distinctive candystripe paint job. Kramer was out of business at the time and people wanted to purchase replicas. Due to contractual agreements between Ed Roman & Charvel guitars this guitar with the Kramer headstock is no longer available at any price. PRS "Signature" click here
PRS Guitars came virtually out of nowhere in 1985 with the absolute finest affordable production guitar the world had ever seen. Gibson & Fender were extremely weak in the mid 80's. It was a wonderfully progressive era and guitarists favored Kramer, Hamer, Dean, Jackson & Charvel guitars. PRS Guitars were built to such high levels of quality that within a short 7 years they dominated the hip guitar market. The hip market being the smallest part of the market PRS set out to dominate the whole market releasing incredibly expensive guitars that were museum & investment quality. sharp investors bought early and the company exploded. In 1995 PRS moved and shut down major production for almost a year. Guitars became very scarce and prices soared many people made small fortunes.
PRS totally raised the bar and inspired many other builders to build high quality guitars. PRS took the average guitar from the $450.00 price range to the $2,700.00 price range which opened the door for many hand builders to be considered competitive. This model is called the Signature only 1000 were made over a 3 year period. The signature model is without a doubt the most prized of all the PRS guitars. While far from being the most expensive it is probably the best investment any one could have ever bought in a PRS guitar.
PRS is still the industry leader and continues to build some of the finest production guitars available on the market. The early pre 1995 PRS guitars like this one even with the high price tags are still considered decent investments. The new models have not fared as well due to the competition with over 100 hand builders who have used PRS as their business model and most of them have been able to offer more features for less money.
