Gledura Evaluation
|
Important I tested a Pegasus, but be aware Rick offers many different body shapes. The prices are all the same, the specs are all the same, the only difference is the shape of the body. My point being, this evaluation applies exactly to the "Infinity" and the "Pegasus," because in effect they are the same guitar. This is the basic evaluation list I use when I am inspecting a guitar. I have given this form a lot of thought. I have tried to make it so that it would work universally on any new or used guitar. I rate on a basic 1 through 10 system. Occasionally I may bestow an 11, because I might be overly impressed with a certain aspect of the guitar. Maybe I'm a Spinal Tap fan. No one really knows for sure, not even me. Rick's Guitars are getting better and better all the time. Rick is a highly driven individual. Rick will not be happy until his guitar is rated among the best in the world. Rick is a total perfectionist and spends a tremendous amount of time figuring out ways for his guitar to be better than any other one. I recognized this quality when I first started carrying Rick's guitars. Rick is a tone freak and currently is still working out better and better ways to build a guitar. Ed Roman, 04/18/03 |

I was not completely impressed with his earlier pieces. They sounded excellent, looked nice and played real well, But !!!! His original execution was not totally professional, His finishes were not as strong as they should have been. Rick is a very determined sort. He put his nose to the grindstone and learned everything he could. He talked with other builders and spent much time seeking total perfection. It took a couple of years but the level of craftsmanship today is second to none, Rick is right up there easily with the likes of Jeff Terwilliger, Paul Reed Smith, Jol Dantzig, Tom Ribbecke, Jim Triggs, Bob Benedetto, Jim Jaros, Rick Turner. Ed Roman says, keep your eye on Rick Gledura because he is coming on very strong!!! Ed Roman
