Although they share a similar body shape, the Vice President is a distinct departure from the New President. The Vice President adds a second pickup in the bridge position to sharpen the sound, enhance the harmonics and tighten the treble response. A 3-way selector switch and separate volume and tone controls for each pickup enable the guitarist to explore virtually any sonic landscape, whether rugged or refined.

Although guitarists may be more accustomed to the features and the trim of the Vice President, it is still built with the same handcrafted care and uncompromising flexibility of every Höfner instrument.
