Dear Ed
I appreciate the help on the Heritage but at this time I have decided to return my Heritage 575 for a full refund.
I tried a Hofner out in my local store and it played circles around the Heritage. When I contacted Heritage and told them about my complaints they were rude to me and told to "Sell the Guitar if I didn't like it"
I currently have 3 Heritage guitars and I have noticed the downward trend in quality.... I will never purchase another Heritage Guitar again.
Ed, I don't hold you or your staff responsible, In fact I feel lucky that you bought the guitar back 4 months after I purchased it from you. I wish I could have bought the Hofner from you but I could not wait and this Heritage Nightmare has soured me on that company for all eternity.

Hello Larry
My apologies, Sadly for me financially,  I have totally stopped carrying Heritage guitars. I have had numerous complaints like yours, I have had customers complain to the better business bureau and the consumer protection agency in Nevada  (All public records)   This makes me look bad through no fault of mine...

As if the quality issues weren't bad enough, The factory has lied repeatedly to my customers.  One customer Larry Albert from New York has been waiting more than 3 years for his guitar. Each time he calls he is told a different story.  For example, in January the guitar is in paint and will ship in February.  So he calls back in March and is told the guitar is having the neck installed. How in hell can they do a paint job on a guitar with no neck on it,  they get caught in lies all the time. The situation with Heritage has become deplorable. I would expect these problems from Gibson but I was unpleasantly surprised when Heritage started down the same road back in 2002.

Not selling Heritage has been a huge financial burden on my company, The product was extremely profitable.  The Les Paul shaped model only cost me as a dealer about $650.00 and it was far better than the ones Gibson was selling to me for over $1,000.00.  Feature for feature the Heritage won.  The Heritage came with real MOP inlays whereas the Gibson's used plastic. I could order the Heritage with Seymour Duncan pickups installed at the factory. If I had a problem Heritage used to be great about taking care of everything.

The Heritage 575, which was Heritage's answer to the Gibson 175, was more than $1000.00 cheaper than Gibson at my cost and it actually had a solid top, whereas Gibson uses a plywood top as they do in most of their overpriced guitars.

Dear Ed

Please cancel my order for the Heritage guitar I placed with you 3 1/2 years ago. I truly appreciate your futile efforts to expedite this order. I began dealing directly with the Heritage factory after the first 1 1/2 years of waiting.  For two years Heritage has fed me a steady diet of excuses in regard to the completion of this guitar.  One month it is in for a neck fit, the next month it is in finishing, the next month it is back in for a neck fit (again?) and so it went for two years --------neck fit, finishing, neck fit, finishing.  I started hoping for a more creative excuse, but no luck.
There were also several promises to "check on the progress of the guitar and call me right back".  I'm still waiting for those calls.

Time to move on, Ed.  I am a very patient person, but I am concerned that before Heritage finishes this guitar, I will develop Alzheimer's and forget that I ordered it from you.  Please send the Triggs TRI-SC5 that we discussed.

Thanks,

Larry Albert

Hello Larry
I appreciate your patience, You are making a good move with the Triggs,  I have been grossly unsatisfied with Heritage, and I have been trying to finish up all the outstanding orders. All I can say is they used to be nice people to deal with and they never started with these antics till about 3 years ago.

Ed
