Leslie West Guitars
Made their official debut at the NAMM Show February 2000
There are going to be several models available.
Originally the instruments were called the Westberger, Edberger and Flyberger by LSR Guitars. Gibson Guitars the owners of the Steinberger trademark objected to us using the suffix word "Berger", They felt it might cause confusion in the market. I tend to agree with them so as of March 1, 2000 the instruments will no longer be referred to by these names. After all I am planing a large advertising campaign this year and there might tend to be some confusion.
Leslie has expressed a desire to help in marketing the guitars, He has hired his publicist to make press releases regarding these guitars and he has really expressed a desire to meet the players who are buying the instruments. Leslie spent a full day at the New York guitar show in White Plains, signing autographs and meeting fans. He jammed with a number of other guitarists and made himself very available to anyone who wanted information about the guitars.
Not only is Leslie a great guitar player but he is a great guy once you get to know him.
Leslie will be responsible for signing new artists and will have final say on all design and construction of the guitars.
Leslie will be doing clinics around the USA and the guitars will be sold through a normal dealer network. I hope to have this accomplished by January 2001. In the meantime until the operation is fully launched, guitars will be available through either, Ed Roman guitars or Leslie himself.
Leslie will make himself available to interested buyers and/or investors.
