Ed Roman Guitars is not an authorized factory direct dealer for Taylor Guitars. Ed Roman Guitars has no intention of becoming an authorized dealer, This gives us a unique advantage. As a dealer we would not be able to present any Taylor guitars on our site even a used one. As a dealer we would be forced to adhere to Taylor's rigid pricing policies and not discount guitars as much as we do. 

Taylor's dealer agreement prevents their dealers from even selling a used Taylor guitar on any website.

Taylor got a fully legal court order which prevents me from printing any prices on the internet. I fought it in court but I lost.  In any case the prices have all been removed. (You can't win them all but ya' gotta at least try)

Advice from Ed Roman, Before You Buy a Taylor

In my opinion Taylor builds a decent guitar, they are however very much overpriced. The biggest mistake that many people make is to purchase one of Taylor's lower end entry level models. It is common for people to buy a low end Martin and make exactly the same mistake.

The consumer's excuse is usually something like, "Well' I played it and it seemed pretty good" or "I liked the sound of it"  OK, I never said they were pieces of shit, I just am saying that they cost three times what they should cost. If you compare a $1,500.00 Tacoma to a $1,900.00 Taylor. Tacoma will win every time. If you compare a $300.00 Tacoma to a $1,800.00 Taylor, The Taylor will probably win. But not by as much as you might initially think.  All I am saying is don't compare Taylor's entry level guitar with Tacoma's entry level model.

Remember Taylor Guitars cost many thousands of dollars, Taylor cannot make their entry level guitars as good as their top of the line guitars. Otherwise they could not sell the immensely profitable very expensive models.  Incidentally even the most expensive models are made on CNC machines. The Inlay work is all CNC and even their most ultra expensive models are still bolt on necks!!!

Wake up....

This is an extremely common mistake. I compare this mistake to the person who wants to say they own a Cadillac. So they run out and buy the lowest cost Cadillac available. in their foolish little minds they think they own a Cadillac.   WRONG !!!!  All they own is a cheap car that says Cadillac on it. In the 90's this became a very commonplace mistake, Many companies capitalized on their name to sell a bunch of low end dreck to consumers. For the most part consumers are not the most intelligent group of people. Some people are so gullible that they actually believe these large corporations could care if they were happy with their purchase.

Three Hundred Series

All three hundred series Taylor guitars feature a Sapele back and sides with Sitka Spruce top. Acoustic electric models feature a Venetian cutaway with Fishman prefix electronics, black binding, satin finish back and sides with a glossy top and molded plastic case.

All five hundred series Taylor guitars feature a American Mahogany back & sides. Acoustic electric models feature a Venetian cutaway with Fishman onboard blender, tortoise shell binding and glossy finish. 

All six hundred series Taylor guitars feature a Big Leaf Maple  back and sides with a Sitka Spruce top.  All solid wood construction. Acoustic electric models feature a Venetian cutaway with Fishman onboard blender, white binding,  glossy finish in amber, black, blue, purple, green, natural, or red. 

All seven hundred series Taylor guitars feature East Indian Rosewood  backs & sides, with Western Red Cedar tops.  All solid wood construction. Acoustic electric models feature a Venetian cutaway with Fishman onboard blender, black binding and  glossy finish.
