Veillette Guitars introduces the Mark IV
Gryphon, High-Tuned Unison 12-String. The Gryphon is a sweet little hybrid
instrument that plays like a guitar and sounds like a mandolin. Pitched almost
an octave above standard, (tuned to open D) with 6 pairs of unison strings, this
short-scale (18.5 inches, 21 frets) guitar-olin is easy to play and really fun.
With the upper range of a mandolin and extended lower range of a mandola, yet
tuned and fingered like a guitar with comfortably spaced frets, the diminutive
Gryphon packs a mighty punch. It's a 12-string guitar, it's a mandolin, it's the
Gryphon!
