Internet Flamers

Typical No-Balls Internet Flamer
Afraid to use their real names

Currently there are some individuals on the internet who don't agree with my opinions.  I have no problem with that. I also have no problem with profanity and flaming. I actually welcome the publicity. I do have a problem with moronic dealers and losers who don't sign their names to their flames. I have problems with other dealers who seek to denigrate anyone by pretending to be a consumer and flaming someone just because he either beat you to a sale or refused to sell you something.

Most people are not aware that Guitar Center owns Harmony Central & that is used to be owned by American Music.

I have been flamed for my opinions and my views. Cool. I have been flamed for my intelligence level, Cool. I have even been flamed for talking about where I eat, Cool. I have been flamed for being too busy to answer the phone properly, that's all cool.  I just wish these people weren't so ashamed of their own opinions that they try to cover up who they are with fake hotmail addresses and fake user names.

If you have a problem that & you want to make public. Say it loudly, Say it proudly and don't be a coward, Use your real name,   I always do !!

 Hey Doosh bags

Stan The Blue Man From Missisipi Mud

Ed Roman Responds

What can I possibly say to a guy like this.  I wouldn't even know where to start !!!

Ok, let's start with the more than 25 spelling mistakes, You would think these morons would at least have a spell check program

I didn't see any punctuation at all, The grammatical context could be compared to retarded child in Kindergarten

Just what is it with these cretins. This guy sounds like he never had a pair of shoes & probably has a tooth missing right in the front.

I can't help but feel sorry for people like this, but his letter begs for an answer...

Ok, Stan try this on for size !!

First of all, our guitars are not made by Mexicans, but so what if they were.  Mexicans have a great work ethic, with a little training they are fully capable of producing great instruments.

You say you are a real man, You brag about owning a $300.00 Gibson,  we will see just how much of a man you are WHEN & IF  you actually show your toothless face next month.

If you were a real man, you wouldn't resort to hate mail to try to prove it .

You and your piece of garbage guitar are no better than a paper bag full of dog dudu...    (I'm Sorry I just couldn't help that.... Now I'm sinking to his level....  Oh Nooooooo)

Ok I'm Back.. whew.....  that did feel good to get that off my chest !!!!!

I have to get to the only sane question that you asked  (The reason that the best bands play them)

There are lots of reasons !!!!

1. Force of Habit

2. Monkey See Monkey Do  (Very Common))

They might be trying to appeal to the lower intelligence bottom feeders, people like yourself.     ((Ooops sorry,  I slipped again)

Because many of these large companies have artist relations departments that pay these celebrity endorser whores a large sum of money for being seen with their brand of guitars.

5. Because the player actually likes a guitar that doesn't have the ability to sound different.

6. Because the player has been brainwashed & programmed from youth to only play what other people play.

7. Because the player wants to create an image of a retro look and is willing to sacrifice the playability, tone & lightness of a modern designed guitar.

8. Oh and my favorite one... And this one is big in LA ...  Because he is told that if he doesn't play one of these antique retro guitars, he can't be in their faggy little band.   I wish just once someone would say that to me,  Oh Pleeeeeaaase,  Just once, someone would say that to me.   (I would put his head in a toilet bowl and forget to flush)   Ohhh  Just Once !!!!!

I guess there are plenty of people out there who like overweight , muddy sounding, extremely fragile, poorly built, machine made, production guitars. Otherwise how else could these bloated corporations afford multi million dollar advertising campaigns. Of course all the magazines are deathly afraid to say anything negative because they cannot afford to lose a huge advertising account.

Personally, I wish these companies would stop spending millions of dollars suing every company who uses any minor thing that they made popular 50 years ago & spend just a little of that money on research & development. There is absolutely no reason at all, why these companies couldn't come up with incredible new ground breaking ideas. They could easily revolutionize the guitar business.  Instead they are content to spend millions advertising those ancient designs & models, that are simply no longer pertinent, except to the people who are brainwashed & programmed..

Before you immediately disagree with me... spend a little time on the internet and do a little research on mind control, brainwashing & how people become programmed.  If after you have honestly and open mindedly done that,  I would bet that there would be very few real valid reasons to go backwards. If you still can't see the light, you can always join the ranks of our hero,  "Stan The Bluesman From Mississippi"

IMPORTANT FOOTNOTE

If you think I am a little over the top with this? Remember, I'm the one originally being attacked by people for trying to bring new fresh ideas to the table.  I'm the guy being attacked not because I say those old guitars are crap, but because I am saying that the new guitars are more technologically advanced, they stay in tune better, they have the advantage of newer, better electronics and they won't break as easy. They are lighter and easier to wield, They can come in any radius or scale that you like. Best of all you are not limited by 22 frets any longer.  New ideas like direct coupling, & split coil pickups and matched tonewoods this is what I am being attacked for.

Here is a typical "No-Balls A'hole's" hate mail

When will you realize that the word WORLD relates to all the countries on planet Earth and not just the United States of America???  Personally, the majority of the Guitars that you promote are some of the worst Guitars I have ever seen, EVER! (Of course, I do not include the likes of Fender, Givson, Martin,& PRS  who are the real manufacturers of some of America's finest Guitars.) And I've also decided that the word Sh*te is too good a word to waste on describing your Guitars. It's no wonder that you've got so many Sh*te Guitars in stock as there obviously aren't enough stupid people in the WORLD to buy them.

Another Moron who apparently does not have a spellchecker on his computer, who didn't sign his hate mail !!!!!

But I traced it to Buckeroo@talk21.com

I will respond to this twerp anyway.....

Dear Buckeroo

I feel sorry for you because you are an uninformed, brainwashed, Individual.  You should take spelling lessons,  you cannot even spell your precious Gibson correctly.  Anyway you can  keep right on playing your bleached white bread brands of guitars like the rest of the lemmings marching off into the sea.

Soon your kind will drop and die !!!

THIS LETTER CAME RECENTLY

Even though I disagree with Rick Hammer I am printing it because at least he had the balls to sign his name.

lang="0" face="Arial" size="2" FAMILY="SANSSERIF"HI MY NAME IS RICK AND I AM VERY DISAPOINTED (sic) WI TH THIS COMPARISSON (sic) PAGE.  I FIND IT VERY INCORRECT AND REALLY DISSES (sic) PRS GUITARS AND THERE (sic) WORKERS VERY MUCH. PRS GUITARS ARE HAND MADE , ALMOST EVERY THINGS IS DONE BY HAND NOT MACHINE LIKE ALL OTHER CHEAP GUITARS. I OWN TWO PRS GUITARS AND ONE GIBSON, AND THE PRS GUITARS ARE SOME OF THE BEST SOUNDING GUITARS IN THE WORLD.  I WOULD NOT TRADE MINE ANYDAY(sic) FOR A QUICKSILVER BECAUSE THEY DONT (sic) EVEN COMPARE TO THE PRS.  I DO NOT MEEN(sic) TO BE A JERK ABOUT THIS IN ANYWAY BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN GOOD LOOKING GUITARS ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO THE PRS GUITARS. WHEN I SEE PROFESSIONALS PLAY I NEVER SEE ANY QUICKSILVER I SEE LOTS AND LOTS OF PRS GUITARS.  THE INFORMATION ON THAT PAGE IS ONLY AN OPINION NOT FACTS.  THAT IS MISLEADING TO SOON OWNERS OF A PRS GUITAR AND DOESNT (sic) HELP PRS OUT IN ANYWAY AND THEY DONT (sic) DISERVE(sic) TO LOOSE BUISNESS (sic) BECAUSE OF AN OPINION. THOSE WORKERS THERE ARE VERY HARD WORKERS AND DISERVE (sic) MORE CREDIT THEN ANY GUITAR BUILDERS IN THE BUISNESS(sic) OF MAKING GUITARS. ALMOST ALL OF THAT INFO IS INCORRECT ABOUT THE PRS ,  PLEASE LOOK MORE INTO IT BEFORE YOU PUT IS DOWN THE USE MANY MATERIALS IN INLAYS, PICKUPS , AND THEY DO BIND THE HEADSTOCK ON ABOUT 5 MODELS.
PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK PLEASE AND THANKS.          RICK HAMMERR

Dear Rick

I read your letter and I am sorry that you don't agree with or believe what I say. I can assure you I check all my facts.  I can assure you that PRS would sue me if I lied or stated any blatant untruths.

Here are my answers to your comments....

1. Your first sentence has two misspellings disapointed should be disappointed and comparisson should be comparison. there is no comma after the HI greeting and I will comment that you are entitled to your opinion..

2. In your second sentence you only make one spelling mistake but your grammatical composition needs some serious attention. You state that "YOU FIND IT VERY INCORRECT"  Believe me I am 100% correct  (I counted 13 incorrect spellings in your letter).

3. In your third sentence you state that "PRS GUITARS ARE HAND MADE"  You couldn't be more wrong!  In fact PRS guitars are completely and totally made on machinery. Even the sanding operations are done by machine. I can't think of any other company that performs as much of their work on CNC machines as PRS. If you don't believe me I suggest you call the PRS factory and ask them outright if their guitars are hand made or machine made.

4. I am not going to break your entire letter down because time does not permit it,  I don't mean to sound like a wise ass in correcting your spelling, punctuation and grammar but you are obviously either 13 years old or very poorly educated. There is nothing wrong with being 13, and there is nothing wrong with being uneducated. In fact I myself was 13 once and I am also a "Voluntary Educational Non Participant" (Fancy  for Dropout). But when you write a letter like yours and make statements that are so completely wrong coupled with the fact that your spelling and grammatical correctness is very immature you further enhance my position on programming & brainwashing. I certainly am not an expert in punctuation and grammar but I think about what I write and I don't ramble off statements like yours regarding opinions not facts and the fact that PRS workers work hard and deserve more.  Hey this is turning into a run on sentence  ha ha....

5.. I looked at PRS's new 2003 catalog recently.  It actually shows pictures of people working on guitars by hand.  THAT IS TOTAL BSS. those pictures are posed, contrived and totally misleading.

PRS sends their inlay work out to Pearlworks, I am sure that they are doing almost no hard carving except on an occasional private stock model. I have nothing against any one who works at PRS, I am sure they are all nice people, even the ones that come into my store to spy on me. You make a statement to the effect that PRS workers don't deserve to be dissed, You state they are hard workers. You are coming out in defense of PRS and for this I admire your tenacity. However you are wrong, your facts are wrong, your information gathering is suffering from not enough questions being asked of the right people.

PRS workers probably work very hard, but they do as management tells them,  They have little or no control over how the guitar is designed, built, advertised or sounds. They go about their day as any worker probably does. They do what they are told and probably do the best they can with whatever they have to work with. At 5:00 when the whistle blows they go home and that's probably that.  In the old days I'll bet they worked late, I bet they cared much more about what the guitars were going to play and sound like than they do today.

The last thing I will address is your apparent distaste for my Quicksilver Guitars. By the way,  the Quicksilver was inspired totally by the pre 1995 PRS. I used the pre 1995 PRS as a benchmark in designing the Quicksilver. I'm not ashamed to say that I learned a great deal about guitar building from Paul Reed Smith, and some of his earlier employees. I am willing to bet $100.00 that you have never played a Quicksilver, I'll bet you probably have never even seen one close up.

You of course are entitled to your opinion and you are completely entitled to hate me and hate my guitars and hate the ground I walk on. That's what so great about this country. We can still hate people publicly and not have to worry about getting shot for it. Just remember everyone including me is entitled to the same privileges.

I don't hate you, I just hate that you really don't have your facts together, and you really should spend at least a few minutes to check what you say. In your Post Script you say that  "You don't mean to be a jerk about this and that you love my selection".  Why don't you buy a PRS from me, I absolutely guarantee the best price on any  PRS model that you will get from any dealer anywhere!

Sincerelyy

Ed Roman

Rick's Post Script  "PS" below

I DO NOT MEEN (sic) TO BE A JERK ABOUT THIS AND I DO LOVE YOU SELECTION OF PRS AND GIBSON!  ROCK ON

RICKK

note from Ed

Why am I not surprised that Rick Hammer also likes Gibson Guitars?

Rick is obviously a product of advertising, mind control & he has been brainwashed & he needs to be completely deprogrammed......

Hi Ed,,

I recently read one of your posted "Flamers" by Rick Hammer. I have one question: How could someone this ignorant and / or young manage to afford two PRS's and a Gibson? (I think I'm seriously underemployed.)

On a personal note: I may not agree with all of your (Ed's) personal views, but when it comes to guitars I have yet to find anything you are wrong about. Your display at the summer NAMM show was, overall, the best at the show. I thought the lines you displayed were absolute tops in terms of quality and cosmetics. (Lines at the show: Quicksilver, Pearlcaster, Jet, Jaros, Abstract, Gledura.) They all played great and looked stunning.

Later,,

Richard Bowen

(an ignorant hillbilly in Western N.C.)

Hi Richard

Thanks for your continued support. The newest line is Viking Guitars and I am talking to a world renowned Archtop builder for my 2004 lineup.

See you at NAMM

Ed

Why Buy Your PRS From Ed Roman?

Buying a PRS today is no easy thing to do. There are way too many models, and not all options are available on all of them. I can give you a either a quickie thumbnail overview, of all the models, or I can give you an extremely detailed synopsis on every model ever offered by PRS.

I have been selling PRS guitars since 1978,  Long before anyone knew who Paul Reed Smith was. I am unique in that I recommended Paul as the best guitar made years before he achieved his reputation. True, I no longer feel that the PRS product is as good a value as it used to be. Also true that I no longer feel that the PRS product is the best I have to offer. But PRS guitars are still a well-made guitar.

However if you want to buy a PRS and you are interested in the pros and cons I can be of immense help to you. I am an expert on his original models, I can tell you which years models were made with certain components and woods. I can be of value to you because I know all the original real PRS models intimately. I can advise you on the differences between a McCarty and a Custom 22, I can tell you which ones are keepers and which ones to stay away from.  I have been called a walking encyclopedia on PRS guitars.  The PRS Forum will regularly bash me but that is strictly because I will give people all of the information. Many of the Idiots on the forum don't like what I have to say because it directly devalues their personal  instrument.  Which of course many of them take as a direct attack on their intelligence.

As I stated I will be able to give you all the important things to watch out for and all the desirable factors on the early models. I can tell you the year he switched from Brazilian Rosewood to Indian Rosewood, I can tell you the reasons behind the e Heel from Hell, I can advise you on what pickups to choose, and I can tell you all the different bridge configurations over the years and advise you on the ones that work the best etc etc.

RARE MODELS..... have in stock many first year PRS guitars, I also have pre productions and prototypes, I even have one of the Rare Acoustic Flat tops that were made in 1991 (Only 11 made)

PRICECE... also have the absolute lowest prices on all the 2006 PRS guitars. If another dealer beats my price on the same PRS guitar I will pay you double the difference.

SELECTIONON..... have probably one of the best selections of pre 1995 PRS guitars in the world. I also have some of the most unique PRS guitars that you will find anywhere.

SERVICECE......I am also unique in the fact that I can offer custom retops, Inlays, and colors that are available no where else in the world. I guarantee there is not a PRS in the world that I can't fix if something goes wrong with it.

PARTSTS...... I am the only guitar merchant in the world that carries PRS original parts. I have original necks, bodies, tremolos, tuners, and over 250 PRS pickups in stock. I even have those hard to get original sweet switches, 5 way biscuit rotary knobs, Mil Com Tremolos, and more. My shop is the only shop in the world to my knowledge that has upgrade aftermarket replacement necks and upgraded custom made bodies.

SETUPUP......Every guitar I sell gets a complete and thorough setup and check out before it is shipped. This is signed off on by Rod Miller or Alan Dreher (Shop Managers)

This company was founded in 1995 with only one original objective.

After owning Eastcoast Music Mall and being in business for 23 years,  selling guitars, keyboards, PA, lighting, drums and other assorted hogwash. I decided to start a company that specialized entirely in Pre 1995 Paul Reed Smith Guitars. Of course the company has since blossomed to specialize in carrying all high end boutique guitars and also to build over 10 different brands. But the original concept was to carry pre 1995 hand made PRS guitars. I also sell the newer machine made ones but that of course is for economic reasons.
