You will notice the Zebrawood on Ken's Basses are straight grained, The wood on the photo directly above was cut on it's side, or slab cut. This causes the grain to splay all over the bass. Personally I like the slab cut look better. Almost all companies will allow you to choose how you want the grain to look.
